For roasters with a hinged and latched cover - The most important part of your roaster to keep clean is the screen that fits inside of the front seal. The screen is dishwasher safe. You can also clean it by scrubbing it in hot, soapy water. The screen should be cleaned after every roast and the cover should be cleaned every 2 roasts.
