The Basics of Roasting with a Home Coffee Roaster

- Pour your favorite Zach & Dani's™ premium unroasted beans to the FILL LINE.
- Place the chaff cup over the roasting chamber or the coffee roaster.
- Secure the home coffee roaster cover.
- Press the “Start” button. Watch the beans as they change from green to yellow to a golden then chocolately brown and nearly double in size.
- Let the roasted beans and home coffee roaster cool down for 10 minutes.

How Long Should You Roast Your Beans?
How long you roast your coffee beans is based on your own personal flavor preferences. Most people simply roast their coffee beans until they're brown. But you can easily control the flavor by adjusting the roasting time on the home coffee roaster and by keeping an eye on the color of the beans.
For example, if you like a strong French Roast or a bold espresso flavor, you'll want to roast your beans until they reach a deep dark, almost black color. In contrast, if you like your coffee on the lighter side, you'll want to roast the beans until they're a light golden brown.
