Hello Coffee Lovers,

I am a novice when it comes to roasting coffee; as a matter of fact I am a novice when it comes to many aspects of enjoying great coffee. I am not novice as to knowing when I am drinking bland brown liquid as opposed to rich enticing coffee.

I searched for a reasonably priced coffee roaster and one that would allow me ease of use and consistent roasted flavor. I belong to a coffee web ring and heard great reviews about Zach & Dani’s roaster; however would I be able to use it and obtain good results? Biting the bullet, or coffee bean shall I state, I ordered the machine. I was told it would take 2 weeks to arrive, oh drats I so wanted it sooner. Fortunately for me it arrived in 5 days! I quickly opened my package and made sure that all of the parts were there, they were! I popped in the video that is enclosed with the home roaster and learned how to roast coffee. It was not difficult with the Zach & Dani’s roaster. I had ordered green beans as well from this fine company and began to roast. Thirty minutes later I was taking my freshly roasted beans out of the unit. Ahhhhhh a fresh cup of coffee; just how much easier this could be I don’t know.

I have since found that allowing the beans to rest for 12-24 hours before grinding makes a better cup of coffee for my palate. The enclosed video and literature explains the meaning of the various roast degrees. I like a Full City roast except in espresso for this I prefer a darker roast. The delightful thing is I can roast different blends and degree of roast right after each other!

Don’t get me wrong this is a fantastic machine for anyone novice or not, it is the only roaster that you can walk away from and not worry about burning your beans, it does control the smoke that emits from roasting beans. Thus not setting off the fire alarm! Nonetheless you will have your kitchen delightfully smelling from roasting beans. It is nirvana.

I just wanted to drop you a short note. I had received your roasting machine, coffee beans and grinder about a week ago. My husband still drank coffee, but I had stopped drinking it. It had gotten to the point that no matter what I did to it, I could not get it to taste like I thought it should. I have not drunk coffee in over 3 years.

I received your product, roasted the beans, and made some coffee that night -- (another thing that I never did was drink coffee after about 9:00 in the morning). I could smell the beans roasting and could hardly wait to let them cool down. I ran them through the grinder and made myself a pot of coffee at 8:00 at night.

When I took the first sip I was sold. This is what I knew coffee should taste like, and to top it off my husband loved it too -- and he does not change when it comes to his coffee. The only problem is that I want to drink it all the time now -- not just in the morning. I just ordered a bag of decaf to try.

So thank you for finally providing me with the coffee that I have been searching for. The coffee that taste like it is suppose to taste: no bitterness, no bite, no awful after taste. I never thought I would sound like a commercial!

I am a chef at an exclusive club and I know I will be letting my members try this coffee when the season starts back up next year. Again THANK YOU!

We have had our coffee roaster for about 3 weeks now, and it is incredible how delicious the coffee is! I have to admit, I was skeptical having never bought anything from an "infomercial" before, but you exceeded our expectations!

My husband purchased the Zach & Dani's roaster for me as a Christmas gift. We first saw it at the Pittsburgh Home Show and sampled the coffee -- we really loved it! I have purchased may different brands of cofee, but nothing tastes as fresh as newly roasted beans! I have really enjoyed being able to custom roast the raw beans to create the perfect cup of coffee. I would like to tell you how much I am enjoying your coffee roaster. Where have you been all my life? I have searched for the perfect coffee for years ... always loving the French and Italian ways of espresso coffee or au laits. Now, I get that pleasure in my own kitchen. The taste is really there. What a great product. I got your starter kit in the mail today and roasted by first batch of fresh coffee. It was simple, easy and yes ... very tasty at the end. The taste test was a success. Fresh roasted coffee is the only way to go and your roaster is so easy to use and it roast the beans so even, I would recommend your roaster to anyone that wants to roast coffee with the major plus of not having to deal with the smoke. The first question people ask me is how long does it take - they all seem to think it is very time consuming and are surprised when I tell them the total time, including clean up is about 45 minutes. Then they ask about the smoke, and are always impressed when I tell them it is completely smokeless. Everyone that has had a cup of my coffee loves it!

We are very pleased with the ease and taste of the coffee. So much so that we cancelled our delivery of Gevalia coffee!

I just wanted to say that I have had the roaster for a few weeks and the results are far above my expectations. I thought I was a coffee snob before I started roasting my own coffee, but I'm impossible now. At work, I refused to drink the swill they were serving and have to take some of my freshly roasted beans, a grinder, and a french press. I cannot believe how wonderful the flavors are from the beans that I purchased. I love the fruity, nutty, and full flavors that come through. My wife, daughter and I are finding it very difficult to find a favorite,

So far we have experienced Zach's Breakfast Blend, Guatemalan Huehuetenango, Koana Blend, Columbian Supremo, and Tanzanian Peaberry. They are all wonderful.

I was describing my snobbery to the McEnnerney family this afternoon. Brendan and Devin are two lads of Irish extraction, and they are coffee snobs. We are old friends but they live 400 miles away. I have no doubt that one of them will be calling for a roaster as soon as they dig up some funds.

In today's world it's rare for an old, cantankerous fool like myself to be satisfied. The other night in a very exclusive restaurant, I surprised a great waiter by turning down a complementary cup of their freshly made coffee. One smell and I knew that I would have my coffee at home. Since I have the propensity to complain about things that don't live up to my expectations, I try and moderate this curse by giving praise when merited. I thought you guys would like to know I have had my Zach & Dani's roaster a little over a year now.

To say that I have a love affair with roasting would be an understatement. I love the versatility of being able to roast a few ounces at a time and always having fresh coffee. Also, instead of being limited to one kind I can have two or three options at once and always have fresh great tasting coffee.

It has ruined me inasmuch as I have become a coffee snob, but, such is life. I have become somewhat of a "Coffee Evangelist." In my enthusiasm I have already converted 3 people to become home roasters, but that is another story.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big "Thank You" to you guys.

Hello I wanted to say I love the roaster. We bought it in December 2004 and made our first roast and were in heavenly bliss. We ran out of green beans once so decided while the beans were in shipping to go and get some regular coffee from the store till we got our beans.. well... we went without coffee after brewing the first pot of store bought coffee it just smelled nasty and tasted even worse. So I wish to thank you deeply for helping me to discover what REAL coffee tastes like.
